This beautiful home located in Jefferson County offers eight men an residential service with private bedrooms and spacious living areas. The home is supervised by caring staff who appreciate the individual differences of each resident and assist them in meeting their specific needs.

Serving eight (8) men. Individuals live in this home with 24 hour staff supervision. This service is funded primarily by dollars administered through the Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation and HUD.

 

Supported Living is all about people living in
the homes they choose like Keith and Darrell who enjoy their apartment in Jefferson County.

All residents enjoy their own bedroom which they decorate as they choose, with family portraits, stereos and private televisions.

Providing individually tailored services and supports that enable a person to live in his or her own home. The home is under the control of the individual(s) with the assistance of the staff support coordinator and/or family when necessary. Staff own or lease their own apartment or home.

Independent living is becoming more of an option as people age. Independent living refers to someone who is able to live at home with minor non-medical assistance. Douglas Cooperative assists people in finding a home that they can afford and maintain and then provides minimal assistance based upon the persons needs and interests.
